In a surprise announcement, Apollo Global Management, Inc. has proposed merging its BDC ($MFIC) with two Apollo closed-end funds ($AFT, $AIF).

FS Investments shareholders will be watching this cross-structure combination closely as they see a similar transaction developing between FS Credit Opportunities (CEF) and FS Specialty Lending (NT-BDC).
